Since 2001, this group has been developing projects and consulting in architecture and urban planning. In 2017, he joined the Research Centre for Architecture, Urbanism and Design (CIAUD).

OBJECTIVES
Establish partnerships and protocols between public and private institutions in the fields of architecture and urbanism
Developing the spirit of teamwork, with emphasis on cooperation between research groups and different areas of knowledge
To deepen methodologies and work processes that allow a more inclusive discussion about the design processes
Contribute to the development of technical skills and deepening of concepts in order to approach the academic component and the professional work
Promote studies and research on architecture, technologies and urban planning
RESEARCH PROJECTS
Based on four main lines of research, the scientific work promotes the relations between a morpho-typological reading and the components of urban policies, economic dynamics and social contents.
URBAN LABS
The research is guided by a compromise between theoretical and critical reflection on the territory and a strong laboratory component, supported by the value of the city’s design.
Integrating these concerns were created URBAN LABS, with various scales of analysis.

PUBLICATIONS
SCIENTIFIC DISSIMINATION
The members of GESTU's research group publish articles resulting, most of all, from papers presented in national and international architecture and urban planning events.
The group promotes the integration of master's and PhD research projects in Architecture and Urbanism, with scientific guidance from Professor Carlos Henriques Ferreira, within the framework of the themes developed.
GESTU's workgroup has developed several events that can result in seminars, workshops and conferences, resulting from the different research projects.
